replacement crane on site
That last shot is definitely going to be my favorite angle of this thing until Towers 2 and 3 are built.
replacement crane on site
The metal framework is part of the overall lobby design, and is in the lobby glass mockup, which should still be up on Silverstein's WTC website. Anything clearer than this glass will have to be cleaned and/or replaced repeatedly because of birds flying into it.![]()
In the original Maki renderings, all the base glass panels were the same width as those of the office floors.
The renderings at the Silverstein Properties site depict the half-width panels that are being installed on the Greenwich St side. Image #10 shows full width panels on the Church St side.
Thanks.
Wouldn't it be nice if they returned Golden Boy to the top of the old AT&T Building. Someone should start a petition.

I agree!
Sorry to be OT, but I'm trying to work out what several of the buildings are in that photo. I know the building with the 7 arched windows is the City Investing Building, but I don't know what the tall building behind that is and also the Art Deco-looking building on the far right. Is the latter where the WTC site is now, or is my sense of direction completely wrong? That building doesn't look like part of the two Hudson Terminal buildings.
Any help appreciated.
The deco building at the far right is the former home of the New York Post at 75 West Street (SE corner of Carlisle), now residential: Post Towers
The tall building at the far left is the 37-story 88 Greenwich Street, along Rector between Greenwich & Washington, also residential: Greenwich Club (turn down the sound!)
