I don't think I've ever seen a crane so ready to be jumped for so long. At this point they look like they're going to build it into the base as some sort of art piece.

No weekend work at this site.
Just easing in to the next economic boom time.. 2015 or so?
Ehm...try 2020. Its a long slow climb out of this one.
Sidenote:
Anyone check out Maki's new Media Lab building at MIT? It is truly awesome. It makes the Cooper Union building look like a childish hodgepodge. I hope Tower 4 has a comparable attention to detail.
It's definitely a beauty ...

Described upon completion by Boston Globe reporter Robert Campbell as ‘the world’s most exquisite building’, the new Massachusettes Institute of Technology Media Lab has a lot to live up to as it opens its doors to the global media today. Media Lab aims to elevate transparency
Brilliant design appears temptingly veiled, but allows researchers to peek

CAMBRIDGE - What happens when some of the world’s messiest occupants move into the world’s most exquisite building?
It should be a fascinating sight. The group of far-out MIT experimenters known as the Media Lab is in the process of expanding into a new building designed by one of the world’s great architects, Fumihiko Maki of Japan.
Maki is a master of delicacy, precision, and understatement. Almost everything in the new building’s interior is white. You sometimes feel, as daylight sifts through the translucent walls, that you’ve been caught in a magical snowstorm ...
Oh wow. That building is beautiful! And some aspects show on Tower 4.
I say let Fumihiko Maki design the Performing Arts Center.
I am trying to get a measure of how tall Tower 4 is, in relation to other significant towers in Manhattan. OK, I know it's the lowest of the planned towers at WTC. That being said, will it be taller than, let's say, the Woolworth Building? Or, Beekman Tower?
Yes. Like the Scandinavians, it seems sometimes as if the Japanese are congenitally incapable of producing objects that are not ‘beautifully designed’ : be it dinnerware, fashion, or Architecture. (IMHO)
