Walking Tour: Brooklyn Bridge Birthday Celebration!
Celebrate the 123rd birthday of the landmark Brooklyn Bridge. Join a Museum educator for a guided tour of the Bridge and the South Street Seaport historic district that was transformed by its construction. Reservations suggested. $12 per person. Program Afloat: “Crossing Brooklyn Ferry”
Be refreshed “by the gladness of the river” as you explore the city’s waters aboard our 1885 schooner Pioneer. Enjoy a recitation of Whitman’s classic poem, “Crossing Brooklyn Ferry” as you sail the East River between the shores of Brooklyn and Manhattan. Meet at the Visitors Center on Pier 16 by 12:30 pm.
