If I may ask MidtownGuy, what kind of camera do you use when taking your pictures? Your photos are exceptionally clear.

It's just an old Kodak easyshare but thanks.

Zephyr-I thought my food (eggplant parmiggiano) was very good, and the atmosphere was great. My friend finished all of her pasta w/ clams so you must be right about the seafood/pasta. A friend from Venice who is trying to live in New York has started working there.

Very nice photos but too bad all those buildings were designed by a single man--Costas Kondylis.

You can tell he tried to mix it up by changing the shapes and materials but it's still got that certain Kondylis look to them.

If they had different architects doing each of the buildings, the entire development would look more natural.

Costas' best work all seems to be for Trump. He must be a better-than-average client.

You bring out the best in them, MG, with a doubtless sympathetic eye.

Some more, this time from multiculti Queens:

everyone wants to look their best

    Smiles are free and abundant

and the neighborhood gossip can pick up where it left off last summer.

Colour is definitely your forté MTG, or shall I say you excel in bringing colour out of the Big Apple. And those precious faces which speak to a beauty in diversity, are everywhere present, especially heightened in varying garb inspecting the bounty of the land in the local markets.

Much appreciated for expanding the scope of Springtime!

(Meanwhile, here in Chicago, prognosticators are indicating a possible snow shower soon, after a brief week of 70 degree weather, surrounded by rain ... )

    Re: "Via Delle Zoccolette"

For the record: "Via Delle Zoccolette" would mean in English: "Street of the Little Prostitutes".

BTW: There actually is a street called "Via Delle Zoccolette" in Rome.

Thanks for chiming in on this. I just took the translation I was given, although later my Italian/English dictionary did translate the word "Zoccolette" as "Sexy Girl," I still had no idea this was a decidedly euphemistic rendering as well.

You have to believe that the name of the restaurant is derived from the name of the street. This means it would not be part of a lttle game the restaurant owners are playing on their clientele and as importantly their neighbours.
