    Great.

Since it's been unusually warm there, have the trees started blooming in Central Park?

Oh yes. I was in the park today and the cherry trees were all in bloom. Magnolias, Dogwoods, the whole shebang.

Default Holi Festival, Dag Hammarskj÷ld Plaza

Holi is the Spring festival originating in India, known as the Festival of Colors. The festival celebrates the end of the rains, and the coming of light. Brightly colored powders are smeared on people and thrown through the air. It's a wonderfully joyous celebration accompanied by lots of music, dancing, food, sweets, hugging, and laughter.

In New York City, a Holi Festival took place on the first day of Spring in Dag Hammarskj÷ld Plaza here in East Midtown. It was lots of fun and I'll post a few of the pictures I took since they show yet another aspect of Springtime in New York City.

Gee, I missed it...just when I needed a bonsai tree, tube socks and a fruit magnet.
