    Good find ^^^

Ticks me off that Leyva still doesn't want to show what he has in store for that blank north facade

I just hope the north facade is at least covered in opaque glass. The 30 story stretch of raw concrete blankwall on the East side of Place 57 is just obnoxious.

    My contribution....

The slow shift of the terraces from right to left looks great.

Maybe they should at least make a law so that these new tall buildings with top-to-bottom blank concrete walls are all required to have the blank wall on the same side.

For instance: if you you are going to have a top-to-bottom blank wall, it must be placed on the north side.

This way, Manhattan would have a "good side" and a "bad side".

The local Community Board (CB4 - Manhattan) is showing some concern about this one and its kin ...

Seriously? And they don't worry about the 78% existing ugly building stock on 8th Ave.?

Maybe because, old "been-here-for-years" low n' ugly is more benign than brand new TALL n' ugly.

Is it best to replace old low n' ugly with brand new TALL n' ugly (complete with in-your-face "Fug You" croncrete walls)?

    Maybe there are better alternatives.

Seems like there might be some windows going in at the top of the north side after all?
