A picture of the South Bridge (which crossed West St. on the south side of Liberty St. and was reached by an escalator / stairway that led down to the street level parking lot on the block which also included St. Nicholas Church). It was basically identical in design to the North Bridge (which ran from the Winter Garden at WFC across West St. and into 6WTC, just north of the North Tower):

I'm aware of what the bridge looked like architecturally. What I need is to know how exactly it connected to the plaza. In other words, I need to see the WTC entrance.

These two photos are the best I have found, but because the bridge had collapsed already, it still doesn't show what I need.

WARNING: These are images of the ruined WTC. Those that don't want to see the wreckage shouldn't click them.

EDIT: Found a good shot. This pic is of the intact WTC, but it's still huge.

It's kind of amazing how difficult it is to find any pictures of the North Pedestrian Bridge per 9/11 ...

The large aerial photo you show kind of hides the connecting between the Bridge & 6WTC in the shadows, but I've attached a cropped section showing that area.

Below is a diagram showing the lay-out of 6WTC. The bridge originally connected at the left side of the diagram in the cut-away area at the lower left. Then one would pass through that bumped out southern section of 6WTC before exiting the building into the Plaza (there was also a door at the eastern end of the Bridge on the southern side where you could exit to the outside and pass between 6WTC and the North tower -- a narrow stairway would take you from the upper level along the north side of the North Tower down to West Street):

Here is a LINK to a page with lots of images of the LEGO WTC -- pretty good detail.
In August 2001 I started rebuilding my WTC after it was accidentally knocked over. But I had to take it apart when I moved in November 2001, so I didnt get very far.

Thanks all for your commitment to restoring my beloved North Bridge, at least in cyberspace. I will endeavor tonight to track down photos and post them here. This is a fantastic project, which should be incorporated into the final WTC museum.

Temp overpass massing model. I'm not going to do any more with non-WTC structures until I'm completely done with the WTC.

Terrific start ... Now I leave you alone to continue your great work.

But after all the looking around I did find something right here at wirednewyork :

3 World Financial Center. Also in the picture is the covered bridge that is collapsed
now that was connecting it to World Trade Center across West Street.

    Thanks for the article, STR.

Another photo of the Nagare sculpture, post-9/11:

    - More from the WTC: A reader emails, "Any idea what has become of the granite sculpture by Masayuki Nagare that used to sit at the east side of WTC plaza between WTC 4/5?" It survived 9/11 (image, above) but its location is unknown—to us, anyway. Anyone got more? [CurbedWire Inbox]

^I emailed curbed to tell them what happened to Cloud Fortress. They posted it last week or so.

Wireframes, for those wondering exactly how much detail I put into this.
