I'm hoping to find the time to put more work into this again. 7WTC needs to be done right, the plaza level needs to be finished and after seeing Stone's WTC, I want to recreate at least some of the concourse.

Jean Alan, a lady who used to work at 130 Liberty St., sketched the Mall at the World Trade Center from memory. It's a bit crude but may be helpful, if not for the model then at least for memory's sake.

Thanks. Though, there's also a complete layout of the mall that's included in one of the WTC collapse reports. I want to say FEMA, but I'm not sure. I've also got two WTC books in the mail, hopefully they'll have some new information. I don't have the titles at the moment, but both were written or almost complete by 9/11, the attack and collapse should be epilouges, unlike those gauche post 9/11 books, though Peter Skinner's book is great for photos.

^Forget that even. I've got a map of the entire mall, to proper scale, with all the columns and the lobbies of 1,2 and 3 WTC.

Where did you get that map? Did you make it yourself?

Great work on the above renderings!

    STR.... absolutely amazing.

You are doing the world a great service in keeping the original WTC alive. Awesome.

    amazing.

It would be interesting to see the freedom tower superimposed over these models for comparison.

I did not make the map itself. The map is an official WTC plan dated sometime in 2001.

I plan on doing the new WTC complex to a smilar level of detail to the original. Hence, it may take weeks to complete.

    Thumbs up

    Great job on the model!

Would it be possible for you to send me this? I am making an animation of the diasaster and this model is perfect for my animation. Of course, I would give you credit fro providing the model.

If this is possible, I will need it to be in OBJ format, as my program can open files like this. Also, would you charge me?

If you can do this, I would be much obliged. Of course, you don't have to do it, but this model is just... incredible!

What program are you using to create this? I'm assuming it's Maya, but I may be wrong.
