The lego version shows the 1993 Memorial to be pretty much exactly where I remembered it being ...

Whoever put the lego WTC together did an awesome job -- tons of detail.

I found that drawing by doing a google image search for: 1993 + "world trade center"

I always liked the plaza -- great place on a summer night to ride a bicycle.

During warm days when the fountain was on and folks were in the plaza it was terrific -- and damned awesome to lay on a bench and look up at the towers, with the Woolworth hanging out over at the side.

In winter it was nasty cold ... so everybody pretty much kept to the underground concourse during those months.

    I don't blame them!!

Apparently after the 1993 bombing security was incredibly tight. You weren't even allowed to take cameras in (probably because you could be taking pictures of where the security all was, and where the column supports were, etc).

There was one mistake in the lego model. I don't mean to be a "perfection person" but the Marriot Hotel's angle was on the wrong side. The short side was supposed to be next to the North Tower - the model depicts it the other way round.

    But yeah, it's flippin' detailed.

    Hear, hear!

Have you been editing the model much lately?

Can I have some pics of the Marriot hotel compared to the Twin Towers? I need to know how far up the Marriot came to. I've just made the Marriot longer on my model and as a result now it looks too short.

Thanks. Is the PDF part of the FEMA 9/11 report? I noticed the URL.

    English class isn't that bad...

I don't know if you've tried this, but if you change the "ch3" part of the PDF URL to "ch4" then you get a whole lot of details about thep plaza building.

Where, up near the top? I zoomed in on what looked like a body from far away, but it was a piece of debris on fire...

Hey Lofter, you would probably be the one who knows best about this kind of thing (or STR, but he doesn't come on much anymore) but do you think that the area for 3 WTC is to scale?

It seems that the footprint you show for 3 WTC is too large ... unless you are including the sidewalk space.

    Look HERE, Page 3.
