Co-presented with Michael Wimberly and hosted by Gil Noble, The Power of the Drum recognizes one of the greatest architects of bebop drumming...Mr. Max Roach! Come and celebrate Max through the poems of Sonia Sanchez, the choreography of Donald Byrd, the bebop musings of James Spaulding and Odean Pope along iconoclast bassist Reggie Workman, drummers Will Calhoun and Mike Clark. With special guests Forces of Nature and members from M'Boom.
