Does anyone have and update on this one as well as the 47 East 34th Street that keeps getting denied?

    Default Approval Granted

According the NYC BIS, approval has been granted for a 450' high, 36 floor sliver!

i dont understant why the developer does not buy the building to its left and rights to make way for a larger Lot-development site.

^ That triplicate post is a result of the slowness of this forum.

I hear it's happened quite few times to others here.

^ Happens to me all the time. Trick is to check the post and delete the dupes.

The forum was having a complete conniption fit right around the time of that post ... being very user-unfriendly, it was

    Default Broken Ground

Well they have already broken ground on this "finger-like projection on 34th St." Basile Builders website (www.basilebuilders.com) indicates that they acquired the parcel, the air rights, the permits, etc., and have sold the interest to private investors! The "owner of record" is Rubin Joseph Managing Agent, 47 E. 34th St Holding Company. Anyone know anything about this?

    Default Still a Sliver

Apparently Basile Builders has sold its interest in this building to "47 East 34th Street Partners." Their address of record is c/o Esplanade Capital, LLC, 551 Fifth Avenue. Esplanade Capital Management is also responsible for the SLIVER on W. 48th and Eight Avenue. Is there a pattern here?

For those of you worried whether this one was still happening or not, don't worry, it's going all the way up. Show me a 450' tower going up in Chicago that looks this awful, aschwarz

Default isn't that because chicago has land?

If you have land, you don't need to build a sliver building, right? Chicago has parking lots, etc, and wider open spaces than New York, and property cost less to do lot assembly.

Are there any renderings? Will the POS on Base Builders' website be constructed?

It's a shame that the rundown crap just east of this site was not razed.
