DOB shows that an ENGINEER seems to be one of those in charge (many DOB filings for the current conversion at the building have been filed under this name):

    ROMAN SOROKKO
    Phone:718-428-5025
    VERSATILE CONSLNT/TESTNG SER.INC
    240-02 66 AVE, DOUGLASTON, NY 11362
    Professional Title:PE
    License Number:72800

The Architect of Record (who retains responsibility for the project unless and until a change of architect is registered at DOB) is:

    JACOB KANNER
    Phone:718-544-2686
JK DESIGN41 KEW GARDENS RD, KEW GARDENS, NY 11415
    Professional Title:RA
    License Number:22475

However DOB also shows that a STOP WORK ORDER EXISTS ON THIS PROPERTY

What is the status of the Certificate of Occupancy?

DOB records seem to indicate that Residential Use is not yet allowed in the building ...

    any update?

I see these are still all on the market at original asking price.
which is just plain stubborn of the sponsors.

drop the prices and sell them. the fittings are too cheap to make it work, and they feel like a 60 year old non NY designers idea of the minimum fit-out you can get away with.

    From http://cityrealty.com/new_developments:

Loft 14 at 135 West 14th Street nearing completion 21-MAY-07

Occupancy is scheduled for September for Loft 14, a 9-unit residential condominium building at 135 West 14th Street.

Patrick Thompson, a principal of the sponsor, 135 West 14 St. LLC, told CityRealty.Com that the building is partially cantilevered over an adjacent property at 137 West 14th Street from which air rights had been acquired.

Apartments range in size from about 1,600 to 2,500 square feet and all have exterior space.

William Q. Brothers is the architect. He told CityRealty today that the floor-to-ceiling windows in many of the apartments have motorized shades.

Mr. Thompson, who is a member of The Vintage Group, said that pricing starts at a little over $2 million and goes to more than $3 million. He said that the building will have a virtual doorman service that can permit the delivery of packages.

The lobby has a stand of bamboo, Brazilian slate floor and cherry wood walls and elevators open directly into the apartments, which have wide-plank Brazilian Garapia wood flooring.

Apartments on floors 4 through 10 have fireplaces.

Thumbs up Check out what 133 West 14th Street looks like today!

This is the last unit to be finished. This unit has a terrace, Wengé wood imported from Italy (the wood maker actually flew from Italy to install the custom shelves, 8 foot doors, and trim around the condo), Brazilian Redwood (Massaranduba) ¾ hardwood flooring throughout the entire condo, Amelda Creme Limestone with glass radiant heated floors in bathrooms, and more.

There is an open house on Sunday from 1 pm to 4 pm.
