This spectacular new hotel is designed as two 45-story prisms split by a curving beam of light that soars above the New York skyline – a dramatic icon marking the west entrance to Times Square. Destined to become a New York City landmark, the $300 million hotel also promises to become one of the world’s most recognized symbols of hospitality excellence. Opened in 2002.

An urban redevelopment project which features a 45-story tower housing a 860-room hotel on a retail podium. This building was designed to stand out in the skyline of Manhattan as a landmark in the streetscape of the 42nd Street neighborhood. Each of the three programmatic elements of the building play to a different audience. The base of this building is designed for the pedestrian. The complex is similar in texture and scale to the original buildings which lined 42nd Street.
