Pier 78, and the land adjacent to it, is home to the New York Waterway Ferry and are privately owned. Providing ferry service to Weehawken and Lincoln Harbor in New Jersey as well as various stops in Manhattan and he Bronx, New York Waterway also runs a bus service for commuters and theatre goers.

New York Post reports that Pier 78 is for sale for $10 million. The unique property runs north-south about 65 feet and extends more than 300 feet west toward what in 1837 was going to be a Thirteenth Avenue.
