The Iron Triangle in Queens

Along the Willets Point Boulevard in Queens you can find the picturesque collection of junkyards and repair garages – the largest in New York City. The area is called The Iron Triangle, wedged between the Citi Field and the Flushing River.

There are plans to redevelop this area – read this thread on Wired New York Forum

Sunbathing on the Roofs of New York

Five years ago, I took some photos of New Yorkers sunbathing on the roofs of their buildings – and posted the pictures on Wired New York Forum in the thread Roofs of New York.

The photos below were taken in July, and the composition resonates somewhat with the recent book The Transparent City by Michael Wolf.
